Anything Twilight related should be immediately removed from any forum dedicated to LotR. And yes, werewolves was meant to mean he turns into a wolf. And only Beorn could turn into a bear, the Beornings were never mentioned as having that ability.

I know that werewolves are meant to turn into Dire Wolves, large, but regular shaped wolves, and I have told other peple that myself. Half man half wolf in the original werewolf legends does not a crreature that looks half way between aa man and a wolf, it means they spend half their time as a man, and half their time as a wolf.

Game of Thrones and real world Dire Wolves are/were amazing.

I think werewolves are pretty awesome, I like both the large wolf version (such as dire wolves from GoT) as well as man like versions (van Helsing). However having said that I dont think that they would properly fit into the LOTR stratergy battle game or WOTR, and also wondering about Beorn for that matter (peter jackson may not even have him transform into a bear during the film, and make it more symbolic). Although they are not very suitable, I am wondering about generally wild creatures such as normal wolves (as an alternative to wild wargs, as they just look wierd with a smooth back for a rider to fit on)

-What I cant wait for with the release of the hobbit is the range of new ideas that will be release (hoping to be released initaly as plastic kits) such as men of dale or laketown as well as Dains dwarves and elves of mirkwood. (also think they will create a guard of the fountain court mounted based on trailer) as well as many other things such as stone trolls and armies of dol guldur and the white council

The film versio of Beorn is unlikely to just be a symbolic change as the fils generally go the opposite way. The Eye of Sauron for example is taken literally in the fil, where they made it look like Sauron is a giant floating red eyeball, when in reality, he is sitting in the tower, and the Eye, is figurative, and the symbol on his banners.

Actually in the film the eyeball is a special ability of his, he is actually in the tower. That is why in the third film Aragorn when looking into palantir actually sees him, and originally he was going to exit the black gate and fight aragorn (but replaced it with a troll). I just thought that a werebear would be kinda silly, but overall the Hobbit looks far more childish than the Lotr

The Hobbit should be well done. Jackson did well (despite certain flaws) with LoTR, I'm willing to give him a shot at the Hobbit. And anything having to do with Twilight should be removed... Particularly the sparkly vampires. :)

Hear, hear. :-D

Agreed.
As for on topic:
High/Galadhrim Elves with swords and shields that come on sprues in boxes.
Plastic boxed versions of all their models.
Elf Lords(Dwarves and Men have kings, why don't the elves get any love?)
Quickbeam
Landroval(Gwaihr's brother)
A High Elf counterpart to Iron Guard.
Warriors of Pinnath Gelin
Hirluin the Fair
Easterling Axemen
Thorin Oakenshield(likely in the near future)
Hurin the Tall, Warden of the Keys
Mounted High Elves

Given the release of the Hobbit I can see a number of models coming out as the film is in two parts they will want to release models periodically throughout the year and then after the second film to keep people interested

so for good I can see
Mounted High Elves (there in the trailer)
High Elves on there own as a box set w/spears
Armoured wood elves or some form of Royal Guard/Elite unit
A named Mirkwood Captain called Tauriel (PJ has added her in)
A number of Dwarf Heroes (I don't see them releasing 13 dwarf character models, it would be too hard to differentiate them)
Men of Dale and Bard
Beorn (who will turn into a bear in the films as it's a great excuse to use some CGI)

I can't see them releasing Numenor or Arnor (very little interest) or Mirkwood Elves mounted as they are never mentioned on would be useless

The evil models I can see being released
Orcs of Dol Guldur, they already have rules and given that Radagasts part has been made bigger and characters like Saruman and Galadriel have been added to the movie my bets are that the White Councils attack on Dol Guldur will be an actual fight scene in the film(you heard it here first)
More Goblins but in what shape and size etc I don't know
umm... not a lot else really as with Numenor and Arnor Black Numenorians aren't part of the films so will likely get passed over

N.B skipping over the 'racist' thing Barbarians or Wild men of Middle earth would be great box set and would be fantastic for loads of scenarios and campaigns etc where you want men either good or evil from the local area (whether it be the hills of Rohan, the mountains of Angmar or even a Gondorian Fiefdom) but don't want them to either look like Rohan or be converted Army if the Dead

When he, (and Pippin), look into the palantir in the film, thet see a giant fiery eyeball, not Sauron's body.

I know this as I have the Extended Edition and watched all the bonus features in full, and I am glad they replaced it with a Troll, although it would've proved to people who thought he is a Giant Eyeball, that he is not. ANd what's silly about Werebears?

Actually, we heard from PJ first.

Being a huge orc fan I wouldn't mind seeing more variations of orcs aswell as fixing a few models.

Black uruks of Moria
Big goblins
Dol Guldur orcs
Misty mountain Orcs
Plasic mordor uruk-hai
Different/more orc tracker figures
Imrahil based off the 'movie' version rather than the current warhammer one
Bring back the Minas tirith/Helms Deep limited edition terrain pieces and a Dol Guldur terrain piece for the release of the Hobbit
Ranger Faramir with just his bow in hand
A flaming eye of sauron figure would be amazing

Black uruks of Moria Blackshields
Big goblins Again, blackshields
Dol Guldur orcs Just normal orcs with a different paint scheme
Misty mountain Orcs Uh, goblins?
Imrahil based off the 'movie' version rather than the current warhammer one Imrahil wasn't in the movie, that was some random made up character. I think the current one is fine.

I agree with you on the others, but they're rather unlikely.

Different orcses are always nice to have :)

I mean like uruk figures with moria armour, would be pretty cool and there was uruks in moria
Fair enough on the blackshields as big gobbos :)
Wouldn't mind some new plastic orcs though so Dol Guldur orcs for the new movie would be sweet
Maybe mountain orcs then, was just thinking mordor orcs with less armor and more fur/clubs type. Bit more primitive
I know but they coulda based it off that made up character then there will be some realism to it. I don't know each to their own I just hate the current Imrahil, with the oversized sword and distorted face.

Can't wait to see what evil figures are released with The Hobbit, really exciting :)

@Green Dragn, as muc h as everyone would love some new Orcs, and no matter how much different they look in the Hobbit, GW will probably never bother with new Orcs.

And I too don't mind the Imrahil model, and I don't say that for every Good model.
