Correct. If you've finished your entry then just post the pictures up at any time before the deadline.

When will the vote for the April category go up? And will it be good or evil heroes?

Do I get penalized in any way for having other models in my final picture? For example, I painted my Easterling command group up as part of a warband of troops. Could I do a picture of just my entry and then my entry along with the rank-and-file just for kicks?

I will post it up tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to post it up yet as I'm still really busy with Sport Relief work but I'll put some time aside tomorrow evening to do so. I should get some more free time as of next week so can focus more on the One Ring again.

That's fine. You can have a picture of your entry with some rank and file troops as long as there is still at least one image of the entry alone.

Blimey this month has gone fast! Thanks for all your hard work Jake, the running of these monthly competitions is great for the community and is encouraging me to pick up a brush quite regularly these days :)

Progress shot of my dragon knight:
Just doing Amdur's armour now, and armour of the Knight and Banner Bearer is done, and thought I'd put up a progress shot
Attachment:
Easterling Dragon Knight.jpg

Pic kinda washed out a lot of the contrast from the armour - I blame the lighting.

Can't fault that painting there Chris, fantastic work, even if the way the rider is holding the standard does seem a little unlikely.

I like the colour you have chosen for the banner.

So far Chris is the only one who has a completed entry. It looks like I might be able to finish by the end of this month if I spend several more hours on it. Cirion's face is truly ugly and my painting doesn't help it either.

Thanks, I'm planning on giving the Helmingas brown shields, so the brown banner should help tie them together.

Sadly it's not looking good for me getting finished on time. I won't be able to do any more painting now until tommorrow evening and still quite a bit to do.

Judging by your progress pic before, it looks like you're past half way. It would be a shame not to see it completed, if only partially and not fully. Mine is almost done, it's just those tedious details to do and basing. I hate painting the faces and especially the eyes on my WoMT command models. Keeping the tip of the brush off of the already painted helmet is pretty annoying. I know a couple of you guys are doing that Command set, did any of you found painting the banner man's face tedious?
