Fantastic work Dave. The dark red looks great as a highlight. Might try something similar for Sauron next month. I have some of these beauties stashed in the cupboard somewhere....

Well, not able to participate in the Sauron Challenge this month due to a lack of a model, but wanted to complete something Mordory so I painted my Khamûl miniature. :)

Looks great! The only suggestion I would make if I may is maybe a slight highlight on the facemask to make it more of a focal point - the mask gives the model a really creepy feel to it and I just feel you have to look too hard at the model to see it at the moment. Overall tho great stuff as usual maintaining that very dark and foreboding look that you carry throughout.

Actually his mask in person looks alot more prominent, just a poor photograph...I really need to get a new lens for taking pictures.

Good job, I really like Khamul, and I think you did a great job with him. The muted colors are really nice, and I like the way you do your bases. Your castellan is also very well done 8)
I can't wait to see what you paint next!

nicely painted khamul i love the dark colours its a lot nicer than the garish GW one :)
