Fantastic job on the miniature. 8)

One of my favourite miniatures from the whole LotR range, and your painting does every bit of justice to Balin. The colour choices are excellent, they fit a dwarf of high position really well.

Would you be able to post a couple of those pictures by themselves by any chance? Or put them in a single picture without so much blank space. At the moment I reckon it will lose most of the detail on the pictures when I scale it down to fit the forum in the voting poll.

Good job on it though 8)

If you're ok with the image then that's fine by me. It might be beneficial for you to make it slightly larger so the pictures are less squashed and pixelated (500-600ish pixels wide) but you don't have to.

Nice work! I really like the base! 8)
The armour seems a little bright for an Uruk-hai, don't you think?

Yes, still working it down with washes though--it will get there and I will be rid of those troublesome water rings as well.

Here is my finished Gimli:

Image

I went for the traditional movie look because he's going to end up in a diorama eventually.

This was the third Gimli I have painted and I have to say he's one of my favourite models to paint. I don't remember who sculpted these early FotR-TTT era Gimlis but they are all really nice miniatures.

Nice job Valpas, i really like the leather armor, it's like the best I've seen. The highlights on the cloak look a little rough though, but everything else is great! :yay:

Nice job on the armour so far IS.

And Pasi, really good job on Gimli. You've definitely captured the movie look you were going for.

Entering Balin, (even though he's pictured with Gimli)

Would you be able to get a picture of Balin on his own please, for the voting? Thanks :)
