Hey guys, welcome to my WIP! A place where i can brainstorm, post pictures, and get feedback on what i do! I don't play SBG or WOTR as I have no one to play with, so just class myself as a collector, I may use Wotr movement trays but it doesn't mean i count them as a regiment ect, I just use them for display I have a 12ft/10 ft shed that i use to use when i was into the hobby 2/3 years ago but that has since been taken over by Landrover 90 parts ;) Another WIP :p Right so lets get going!

Here is my 64 man strong harad force, I wouldn't usually collect this many warriors but i got a good deal on ebay so why not! The more the merrier! The plan is to not bather simply green stripping what models are painted as they're not painted that thick and I want to get these done to work on other things, so I am going to base them all tonight with gravel and undercoat them in the morning!

Image

The plan is to paint them in the standard lotr style ( as in the styles in the books ) but give them all a desert style base with dead grass!

I also have the Haradrim command blister pack from ebay (gotta love ebay) which will be painted as the basic commanders for my harad army!

Image

They will also be painted in the normal Games workshop style with sand. desert bases!

I also intend to make a 2ft/1ft photo studio box, with a nice backdrop as i have the professional studio lights, my make shift one in the living room wasn't as successful as i had hoped! I'll include that in this thread once it gets done, it's high on my list of things to do, along with become a millionaire/marry a rich woman :-D

So tonights plan is to have all the bases graveled ready for undercoating tomorrow!

Woo now time to base 66 miniatures.... ;)

'Tis a very do-able project, though it might take a little while. I recently did one of the same size- have fun! Will be interested in seeing the final results.

Once I had sa down last night, glue and sand at the ready, i tried to pick off the original flock and gravel on the already painted models as some of it... A lot of it had stuck to the cloak/cape of the models, but it wouldn't come off! So i decided it wasn't worth buying stripper and that i'd just redice te amount of troops i was going to paint. I managed to get them into groups of 8 to fit on movement trays but am 2 down :/ So if anyone has two spare harad spearman with their spears over their head (the ones who look as if they're about to stab someone) pm me :)

I managed to base all the unpainted models last night and as there was not as many, it was not so much of a task!

Sorry about the bad pictures... eventually i will get round to building my display stand for better pictures :p

this afternoon I got round to undercoating all the models too.

and here's the final piece!

Next step will be the cloaks and red cloth!

Also next task I will be starting is the Mumakil which i've had for god knows how many years, but more on that soon ;)
