When your home network's DNS server identifies all your computers by various (appropriately selected based on purpose, of course) Middle Earth names.

When you're DMing and your players reach a new destination, meet new people, etc. they assume it's inspired by (and named after) its equivalent in Middle Earth. Examples: City spanning two sides of the river in a warzone assumed Osgiliath, faction infamous for its knights assumed Rohan, Old wizard wander the wilds assumed Gandalf (or Radagast).

When you see the trailer for the Hobbit and alternate between yelling at your computer screen (WHY DOES THORIN NOT HAVE A BEARD!?!?!) and screaming like a little girl (HOLY COW THAT LOOKS AMAZING!).
When you do the above and you family asks what's wrong and you tell them the trailer fo the Hobbit is out and half walk away while the other half watch it, with a much less dramatic version of the above.

When you are angry at Peter Jackson for not releasing the Hobbit sooner, and for splitting it!

When you're over ecstatic about the Hobbit but grieved at the same time; not being able to see them for two years. :x

When you know WHY it isn't being released sooner, and you are ecstatic that it's being slpit because you know that backstory that will be added in!

For those of you confused as to why I don't like it split. The Hobbit is shorter than a LOTR espeially FotR, I like the movies to be representative of book size so that it feels more true to Tolkien, so if the Hobbit was 2 films, TT nd RotK would be at least 2 films each and FotR would be at least 3 films long

Though I do love the fact they are including the Dol Guldor stuff, I'd rather it was relative.

Oh god no....

Orc not Ork . Hardcore fans would go b @ z o o k a over that.

In Danish (and probably other languages as well), orc is spelled with k, so it's not always a misspell :-D

anyway: ...you answer "YOU WILL TEST MAAAN FLESH" if your son/daughter asks what's for diner

It's Ork in dutch as well. :) Doesn't really go with the way Tolkien saw it. Don't really know why they chose to use a k, as a c kan be pronounced as a k in dutch, without that being abnormal in any sense.

I think SBG players take offense to Ork because of its use in 40k and fantasy.
