The purpose of this poll is to determine which of the above good characters will be the painting challenge for the month of January. The poll will run until 15:47PM on December 20th GMT, leaving everyone with a short amount of time to go out and get the materials they might need to participate next month.

Please note - the winning choice is not what you must paint next month, only what is preferred, you are still more than welcome to paint something else similar if you haven't got the correct miniature (for example, if Sam is chosen and you don't have a Sam miniature in time, you're permitted to paint up something similar for the challenge instead - like Frodo, Merry or Pippin for example).

I voted Gimli because I need to get around to painting my Dwarf army and I have three different models to choose from (Dain, Balin and Gimli).

I would think Beregond as he killed a fellow man of Gondor in his attempt to save Faramir which led him being banished from Minas Tirith by King Elessar (something along those lines). Or maybe Eowyn because she stabbed the already wounded Witch-King in the face. Or maybe..... :P

Eowyn. Female. Doom of Men. :P

Seriously though, I imagine most of us have an abundance of Legolas and Gimli models. I am not yet sure how to vote. Might go Gimli just because I'd like to get one done for possible inclusion in my WotR army...but others are tempting as well...

So I will either vote for Eowyn or Beregond then. I don't have either, but looking at other people's work becomes much more excited the more evil they are. I will hold off choosing now, and will come back and check it later.

PS, I like Sam too, but I'm not sure.

How about Sam Nazgul...corrupted by the Ring, abandoning the Quest he decides to take over the forces of Cirith Ungol and begin his own rise to dominance.

Interesting...

I have voted for Sam anyway. Hes much better than that (insert relevant word here) Frodo.

I already started on my Eowyn, so no. I voted for Cirion, or Beregond would be a good one as well.

If I travel back to home, I will have 10 days to make a modell to this competition. But hell I really want. :)
I already have a painted Eowyn in the blue costume. But my soldier Eowyn is unpainted. My Damrod also.
Whats the point of this voting? How many mini will be part of this challenge?
