This was a tough one for me to vote on this month... Well done to all participants, some really excellent entries.

For me it was between Basshead, Troll King and Islestaggerholm.
In the end I went for Bassheads version, It was the base that swung it. Well done mate!!!

Oooo... this is yet another tough voting. I've narrowed my vote to BotWT and Troll-King.
Hmm.........................................

Wow, so many good ones to choose from this time...

I really like the very neat paint job and snowy base to Chris' Golfimbul!
Pasi's (valpas) shaman was great...love how he carried over his "Howling Wraiths" theme to this guy!
Basshead's Orc Shaman has one hell of a cool base!
Wah Wing's Uruk-Hai Shaman is just another example of how his miniatures just keep getting better and better...very well done mate!
General Elessar's shaman is a well conceived and put together conversion...nice one!
Chris GoM's you did a nice job repositioning and painting this guy!
Troll-King's Orc Shaman is...WOW!!
Beowulf03809, your Druzhag conversion is well thought out and very well executed!
IsleStaggerholm, bravo mate...he is awesome!

GothmogtheWerewolf's Orc Warlord in Chariot got my vote (although his photography needs help). The ambitious conversion was well executed and he has shown his painting skills are getting better each time he posts a photo of his work. Well done on this model mate!! :)

Troll-King vs BilboOfTheWhiteTower...I went with yours, BotWT, because of the model's amazing aesthetic quality despite its simplicity. But, after I did so, I felt kind of bad, because atm, Troll-King has no votes and certainly deserves some!

thanks for the votes! :D

Many good entries this month..But I have to choose bilbo, because the face of the goblin has a very realistic expression, never seen a goblin with a face as expressive as your mini's has, congratulations!

Again, nice entries everyone!

It was a tie for me between basshead's shaman and Troll-King's. Basshead's base was the real tie breaker for me. Well done everyone!

My dad and I really like lots of entries. We couldn't quite decide between basshead and bilbo, but we went with bilbo in the end, it is amazing to see something so beautiful and simple. :yay:
(and thanks for my votes!)

You deserve your votes and I'm sure there will be more to come, your shaman is excellent and it was a tough decision between yours and bassheads miniature. At the moment I have this thing for water bases which is the only thing that swung it.

For me it was a tough choice between BotWT and IsleStaggerholm's. BotWT great clean paint job but in the end I went with IsleStaggerholm's, love the flesh tones and the base fantastic. And Troll-King you were next on the list. Great entries everyone.

Couldn't decide between the awesome paintjobs of BOTWT and Troll-King so voted for Chris GoM whose Shaman just oozes scheming villainy, muttering a spell under his breath. I love it.

I would like to began with a few thank yous. Thank you to everyone who has voted for me. Thank you to everyone who has enetered this month. Thankyou to DMS for the warg. Thank you Red for maintaing these excellent challenges.

Now onto the more interesting part. I spent time looking at everyione's and will comment on some of them in no particular order. Bilbo, excellent painting, I love the skull and the blue cloth. Basshead, your excellent work well complements that of DMS, you do evil better and he does godd better, your shaman is suberb. Chris, very nice Golfimbul, love the snow on his fur. Beowulf, excellent idea to make Druzhag out of Sharku to justify him in Dol Guldor, and well excecuted too. I also like every other entry this month.

However, the moment I saw Troll-king's Shaman in the initial thread, I knew there was noone else I could vote for. Excellent job there, excellent conversion and nice way to make his warg stand out from his freinds. and excellent skill in painting.

I have made a decision.

I went with Troll-King's shaman! The colours are well painted and I really like the colour choice for the warg. I think I'll use it for my future wild wargs. Great work everyone and thanks for the votes!

Really hard choice, once again. There were lots of entries worth voting for but in the end it was a choice between BotW's Goblin and Troll-King's warg-riding shaman. I eventually chose the goblin. Getting such an expressive face on a small goblin is very hard, so points to Dave for that!

I've been thinking about this for a few days myself, reading the comments from the others here to consider their opinions, etc. In the end I had to vote for myself.

Just kidding.

I went with Bilbo's. Though I'm not so sure about the blue, the overall color application and finish gives a very impressive and realistic looking model. The skulls are nicely textured, the facial detail is just enough to look alive without the over-obvious eyes and features, shading is great.

Troll King: a very close second. I had to knock these two around a lot in my head. I can’t even tell you exactly what moved me one direction or the other. I’m not a huge fan of GW’s Orc Shaman models so maybe that was part of it, but I believe this (and Chris GoM’s) stand apart from that prejudice. Whatever it was I can’t articulate it more than just saying it was the feeling I had to go with.

Chris GoM: The pose is great and the color selection and application look very natural to my eyes. The decision point really came from the mold lines on the Warg I’m afraid. Maybe it’s just the pic but the line across the face and tail still appear prominent. Other than that I really love it. A little better of lighting on the model for the pic may have helped some more (I was suffering from this too). Also, I know the base doesn’t count in the selection, but I think at a subconscious level it probably does impact us each somewhat. Especially on a mounted model where so much base is visible having a little more detail would help the base be less of a distraction (my eyes do drop down to the base sand somewhat).

Wah Wing: The Uruk shaman is one of the few shaman models I really like and I think you did a great job capturing a natural look and feel on it. It was in my top three and I bet it looks amazing in your army if you used a similar color scheme for all your Uruks.

Chris – still one of the best examples of snow I’ve seen on a small model.

basshead: The entry is a great example of highly detailed painting and the base shows off what really can be done for a small model.

GtW: I would love to see updated pics of yours if you get a chance. Really creative idea and it appears to be well built. A very complex conversion indeed and it looks like you did a good job with it. I don’t think your pics do it justice. I’d love to hear how you plan on playing it as well if you’re going to incorporate it into the game (what would it be a proxy for, for example, or will you somehow incorporate it into a standard formation).

Just because I didn’t call out the others specifically does not mean they were any less impressive in their own ways. Mostly just don’t want to appear too wordy and also I’m posting from work…don’t tell anyone.
