I'm 80% sure that the wire ends that have been stuck into the cork can just be pulled out once the greenstuff is completely hard....But i don't know for sure. :)

Thanks for posting those Uruk WIP pics Dave! Certainly helps beginners such as myself when it comes to breaking it down into stages. Good idea with the undead horses too, they will look fantastic once all painted up! 8)

but how do you get the sculpt off the cork?

The two bits of wire coming out of the bottom of the feet go straight down into the cork. When finished, just pull the cork off of the bottom and snip off the wire. Simple.

Nice work UKFB! The undead horses look great, and I especially like how you kind of did a step by step of how you did it, it's very helpful and inspiring :yay:

I also really like the uruk, it looks perfect, it makes me wish I had one, or could at least sculpt as well as you.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Fantastic sculpting as always! 8) I need to work on my own sculpting skills.
Mind if I buy one? I think I bought one of your dead banner bearers once.

Seems like you should make a mold of the next one you produce Freddy, because you might have more requests down the line--I might commission one once the holidays are over.

I didn't do the dead banner bearer. That was Natarn. And unfortunately I don't have any casts of the Uruk Scout as it was privately commissioned as a one off by DMS.

ukfreddybear, your sculpting is incredibly awesome, and if it weren'rt so expensive I'd definately ask for you to commision something.

Again, well done, very nice undead cavalry, I'm sure they'll be excellent.

Right. I just remembered it was Natarn. I just saw your avatar and forgot that it was a conversion of yours. Oh well. Great sculpting nonetheless. I'll have to improve my sculpting skills to make some figures then.

No worries mate. It's not a solution affordable to many. Believe it or not though my rates are actually a lot lower than most of the other sculptors I know of. But then I'm still largely unrecognised and still developing. My rates are the same though whether its for a unique collectors piece or a master for someone who wants to cast unlimited copies and I'm only charging for the time it takes to sculpt it, which is usually many hours over a period of several days. My profit as an independent sculptor is much better than my profit as a manufacturing retailer - which is why there haven't been any new Majestic Bear products released for some time now. I'm too busy sculpting for others!

Thats the spirit! 8) My first attempts with putty weren't all that brilliant, but I got better with practice to the point that I'm pretty confident I can replicate any mini or concept drawing with accuracy now.

Thanks for the compliments all.

Now I have to find a balance of adding the barding without concealing too many of the details.

Woah!!! Awesome - I would be very apprehensive in adding the barding - the details are excellent, having said that the barding could be really tatty looking with holes in that the details could show through.
