I have to wait several days for it to dry.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Gloss Minwax
I made a thin pour. Tilted the piece from side to side so that the varnish would run into the crevices.I put it in the room with the dehumidifier/AC. May be it will dry enough to look at this afternoon. I will have to put at least one more coat on it.

Well it is mostly done. When it is dry enough to play on I will touch up a few things.

Outstanding as ever Oldman Willow!! When is the terrain challenge going to start then? I think I might have a go at something like this.

JF raised the Question on face book and I realized I had not been clear how I intended to use the cave section.I built it as an Accessory to my Dwarven Forge lake and Cavernous River sets. I posted a link in the news section about a new UK source for DF

I am not sure. I have to run in circles and scream and shout over some personal business the next few days and I would like to think about it some more.
Do you think we should all build the same project over a month like the painting Challenge? If so What project should it be?

-----
would it be something like- if for example u make a tutorial - the people get to make the same thing (but then fill it in with a different more personal form)?
--
I think it would be good to spread it over a larger time - like 2months for example (gives more people the opportunity to join in).
I would do something like for example - rohan themed, mines of moria, fallen realms,....

I think it would be a good idea to have a common theme on a month to month or 2 monthly basis, it would be good to see peoples different interpretations of a common idea.
did that make sense?

just thought of something - it might be handy to have a default size - let's say an old CD or something. Would make the works uniformer in some way. But that might just be limiting everything to much ... dunno just a suggestion.

Yeh thats a pretty good idea then at least all the entries would be to the same scale, possibly bigger than a cd but yes a default size is a good idea.
