Great work Edge. While the base is nice, it's the blood on the sword I like the most. Nicely done.

Thanks Jake and Wouter. I was pretty happy with how Lurtz turned out. I tried NMM again on the sword and shield. It doesn't look that great in real life, but comes out OK in the photos.

Good luck to everyone else trying to get their entries in. It would be great to break the 'most number of submissions' record one day (whatever that is - does anyone know?)

Yes March 2010 has the record of 17, Aragorn last month got 15 entries. I believe we are now on 14 this month, with a couple of people yet to post their entries.

Well we should be getting 28 monsters right? I say 28 as opposed to 27 because I voted for command and still plan to enter a monster. Wow. Wouldn't a monster challenge with near 30 enteries be spectacular!?!?

Here is my entry:

I experimented with using a home made wet pallet when I painted the leather and I think I'm going to keep using it going forward. I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out (it actually looks better in person).

Well there are many great Lurtzs out there, hope this one stands up to them. As I've stated before, I found his leather a little bit of a pain to paint trying to figure out the colours.
