The light's really weird inside. It's too sunny outside to take good pictures, so we're sort of pushing our luck.
(Dol Amroth knights, note the Gondor horses)
Since spring I've been building a fiefdoms army. The basic components are centred on a formation of Dol Amroth knights. They are supported by a formation of Knights of Pelargir, archers from the Morthond Vale, infantry from Belfalas, a small group of Rohan federates and some Rangers of Gondor. At the end, I envisage a pretty large and diverse army, possibly backed up by Axemen of Lossarnach and men of Lamedon. All of the Eastern "fiefdoms" are represented.*
The Dol Amroth captain
It's sort of slow going. There's been a bunch of conversion work required, as well as some ebaying. Luckily most of the figures can be taken from the painting backlog, but the Lossarnach and Lamedon guys will still need buying sometime in the dim and distant future (ie, not now!).
The latest additions are these guys:
Knights of Pelargir.
This involved some odd and difficult choices and work. To get enough horses for the Knights of Dol Amroth, I ebayed. A lot of what I received were damaged. Some of these are actually Rohan horses...with head swaps. Some of them have blurred details. Maybe in a year's time I'll try and get more horses and replace the more problematic ones.
The Captain and Standard Bearer are Aragorn King of Gondor miniatures with head and arm swaps, and repainting.
I'll upload more tomorrow or the next day.
