Actually I have been scratch sculpting - but for other people. I agree with you though. MBM customers do deserve a new release.

Nice bunch of trolls, Dave! I have to post a group pic of my trolls too, though I only have three. I didn't actually realize there are five different cave troll scuplts, I had somehow missed the one running forward. I like the way they all look good together, with similar skin tones.

Thanks mate.
Ah yes, that troll is the plastic one from the mines of moria box. You can pick him up quite cheap on ebay.

Those trolls are nice. I don't like the movie trolls, but I like what you've done with these.

I was busy today. I started puttying up a mounted Elendil and mounted King of the Dead conversion. I also fixed two Khandish riders that came without their horse leg/weapon arm sprues. Then I made 3 Khandish back banners for the guys that didn't have them. I even managed to get some putty on all four of the remaining Ents. Phew. More of the same tomorrow, although I need to gap fill six Mordor Trolls too.

I forgot to post the WIP pics.

Here are two Khandish riders missing weapon arms whose horses were also missing legs. The one on the left is obviously a little further along than the one on the right. Still have tassles and muscle work to add:

Image

I also have some footmen missing their banner poles so started to knock a few up. Another skin of putty will be added:

Here's a rider of the dead who started out as a broken ringwraith, and also the mounted King of the Dead:

Then there is Elendil, who I've been meaning to do for a while now.

Not sure when I'm going to get around to painting these though as I'm doing a private commission sculpt of Toothless the Dragon which you can follow in the Non-LotR forum.

Dorth, no one is good at something the first tim they do it. :) If you want to sculpt the only thing to do is practice. It's the same with painting, converting, making terrain...in fact with any kind of skill. As some say "just do it."

Oh, and those conversions are awesome. 8) :-D

:yay: Great conversions. It's great to be able to pick up random models off ebay for cheap (becuase half of them are missing) and then to be able to sculpt the missing half.
Great job on these, I look forward to seeing them painted up. 8)

What I like about Ents is the fact you can be as free as you like with them, you can make them as radical as you wish
