It was a feast held by the order of King Fingolfin by the Pools of Ivrin to unite the Elves.

If you're talking about the battlecry, then it means: "Axes of the dwarves !" Followed by: "Khazad ai-menu" = "The dwarves are upon you !"

It is known that 'moria goblins' are actually just orcs, however, there is a sentence in The Hobbit that could refer to a difference...
What's that sentence ?

Oh come on I am reading the hobbit to my cousins so I got this.
"goblins, hobgoblins, and orcs of the worst description"
Plus the difference in the names of there swords :Goblincleaver, and Orcrist

Ok, here goes:

Were any mortal men allowed to land in Valinor?
If so, who and when?

The only men to be allowed I think were Ar Pharazon in the second age of the sun 3319...

In addition to the Numenorean force, Eärendil landed there at the end of the First Age when he came to ask for help from the valar. I think also Tuor was allowed there a bit earlier because he was the only mortal man who was "counted as" an elf in a similar way as Luthien was eventually converted to a human.

Thanks Sir Richard, here's my question:

Turin Turambar and the dwarf king Thrain had something in common. What? And I don't mean that they both were able to kill loads of orcs... :)

They were both held in a Dark Lord's dungeon (Morgoth/Sauron).

Or it could be that they both had a son (Hurin/Thorin) whose death was linked to a dragon (Glaurong/Smaug).

That was not quite what I was chasing but then I realised I had been wrong myself! :o

I meant their dwelling place, which in Thrain's case was Erebor, the Lonely Mountain and in Turin's case Amon Ereb, the Lonely Hill. But then I realised Turin didn't live there but in Amon Rudh. How foolish of me.

So, I guess it's only proper that I give the stage to GothmogtheWerewolf. Your turn!
