As drum said good luck with the surgery.
Great work with the ranger, I myself would do a gold trim on the sort of tabard thing that is left black on your model
Anyway if you didn't understand that here are some useful links:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... Id=6100002and this one because the mounted ranger is so cool:
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2569942Anyway good luck with your grey company (im guessing) and with the surgery.

Thank you for the links.
The link to GW is the one where I got my inspiration.
As for the link to warseer, I do see some potentional conversion work for me..
I did a couple of small changes, but I might convert some like those.
With the tabard you mean the square like thing under his tunic?
That's his subarmalis, one of the few leather parts,
I think it is connected to his leather protection on his arms. (and I painted the same
, but it does look dark on the photo)

Good stuff. Look forward to seeing him finished. Will you be doing an army themed with snow? or just sticking to a squad.
Good luck with the surgery, read it wrong and thought you had already had it. I'm sure you'll be up & dancing after
Drum
I think I will do all my rangers the same colour scheme, and I will add some snow to the bases of my Gondor armies.
I just repainted 48 WoMT, some pikemen, clansmen, knights.. and I won't repaint them for a long time.
When I have my snow stuff, and when I have based my miniatures, I'll post pictures from the rest of my army..
For now, I just primed my rangers and I'll paint them slow but steady.
I'll update as much as possible.. but for now, I'm going to play some fable 3
