Welcome to the One-Ring and welcome back to miniature wargaming!

There is one tactic that never fails with a force of hobbits: just tell that that the enemy stands between them and the next meal and they will plough through balrogs, dragons and all the minions of Mordor just for a piece of cake... or three. :P

Yeh Dorthonion i do seem to be using an awful lot of paint on their rotund bellies! They arent cheap either at 6 quid for 4 so they had better win me the odd battle or two. Ok thanks Queen B, i will look at what heroes i can take when i start playing LOME, i didnt know that about Bullroarer Took. Can i have Gandalf and Aragorn or is that off the menu?

with the bullroarer? yeah you can do that. It´s only that you can´t have him with any other hobbit hero.

Ah i see. So the only four other hobbit heros are pip, merry, frodo and sam yeh? Doesnt seem fair limiting my number of heros. They are only small and harmless folk!

Welcome to the Onr-Ring family Tooky!

I have only seen the world of miniatures changing over the past 7 years, and even that has been a big difference! Especially with the load of newer companies raising from the ground, releasing so much higher quality figures then the main gaming systems, the competition between the companies is spicing up the details (and the prices)...

Looking forward to see your armies marching into battle and hear the reports of victory of the mighty hobbits! (at least they live in such a lovely peacefull scenery! ... mmm.. wish I was a hobbit...)

Cya around mate! ;)

Yeh thanks BucklandBrewer, you should have seen the figures back in the early 80's. It was embarrassing compared to today! Lumps of lead moving around the board. It had to start somewhere i suppose. Yep i hope to do well in battles with the little chaps. Ive got my first battle in october so i will let u know how i get on. The panic now is to get 800 points worth painted up in time. Ive just base sprayed a load up so will try not to rush it and make them look rubbish. Any tips for getting a load painted up in a short time would be helpful.
