Hey guys!

I'd first like to apologize for not being active these past months... I've been really busy preparing for my move back to Paris, and, to be honest, motivation to paint kinda disappeared for a while

With great regret I must announce that I've strayed from the path of LotR pieces with my current project, a 40k Crimson Fist Landspeeder. I've been working on and off of it for a while now, and although the Landspeeder in itself is not finished, I wanted to show you my progress as it is, hopefully gaining some constructive criticism along the way.

Picture are slightly big... sorry for any loading problems (:

And a close up of the only painted Crimson Fist (notice the ruined barrel on the gun to the left... I have yet to greenstuff it ^^):

And the completed, scratch built, display base (it seems redder then IRL):

The Landspeeder has been immensily customised... kudos to whom can find them all ^^

The landspeeder looks really cool, but I thought Crimson Fists were dark blue and red. Imperial Fists are yellow and black which is more akin to your colour scheme.

Anyway, great model and the base is great. The conversions are awesome and I really like the Space Marine which is standing on the wing weilding a Multi-Melta.

I to have strayed from the path of painting LotR figures and I am now painting Black Templars and (27) Chaos Space Marines...

And indeed you are correct :-D I forgot to precise that by Crimson Fists I just meant the insignia. In terms of color scheme, I just wanted to try out some yellow/orange base color as I have never worked with them before, and thought the result wouldn't look too bad... I never intended for it to be in any army of some sort, so I suppose it's not a problem, right?

Thanks for pointing that out :)

Of course it's not a problem. It's a wonderfuly converted model. And I would have been none the wiser to it, if it hadn't been for my brother roping me into 40k...

Yellow-Orange is a great colour scheme to try. My early attempts were shameful but using Lyanden Darksun realy helps. Good luck with your conversion. Out of curiosity, is it for a competion or is it just for fun?

Just for fun. I don't consider myself good enough for competitions, but who knows, I might give it a try if the model turns out pretty nice :)
