It's nice to see you painting NMM looks really nice though I always prefer to paint more contrast into it ;)

Looks fantastic Mac! I love the miniature, I actually haven't seen it before (not really browsed the Warhammer range too much.)

I vote for white for hair/beard.

Thanks guys!

After posting it, I worked a bit more on it trying to decide the hair colour. It's definetelly going to be dark... other than that I'm still trying things.

Don't worry if it looks a bit messy... that's just because it is still a bit messy.

Wow....just....awesome....

I love the skin, it is stunningly realistic. Hair is looking great...boy that miniature looks awesome...

Got any special ideas for the base?

Thanks! I'm still undecided about the base and some other things to be honest. I'm just making up as I go.

Here's another update... My back is killing me at the moment so only some details like gems and NMM runes and that sort of thing. It's all small bits but it sure is time consuming.

Again, the pictures are a bit dark but you get the idea.

Obviously there's still plenty to do...

very nice mac! This mini is also one of my favorites. The NMM looks good (maybe a bit more contrast?), and the skin is realistic. But everything looks so yellow, is it the picture? I would also work a bit one the hair. :)

It's nice though back of the mini seems terribly forgotten ;) Regarding hair colour maybe try something in orange brown with touch of black ? I will stand out nicely amongst those NMM yellows/browns

Such a realistic expression...terrific NMM, especially on the axe blade. Though I do agree it looks a bit yellow, mainly from the back 8)

Yeah, the pictures look a bit too yellow. They were taken at night with artificial light, and the fact that the mini has lots of yellow in it ends up messing the color balance a bit. I'm also building all my colours from a yellowish basecoat (check the first post) and that deffinetelly is a factor too.

Weather sucks at the moment in here, but I'll try to take pictures outside so that you can have a better idea of what is going on.

Both the hair and specially the back are very much untouched, mostly because I cant decide what to do with those areas. Don't worry, its not supposed to look like that in the end. ;)

Ok, one more update. Again, not much done... I'm gonna sound like good ol' flame DurinsBane but...

MY BACK IS KILLING ME!

Anyway, here's piccies:

As you can see, I started working on the back armour. The idea is making it look like leather but I'm still way behind in what I want... If I can't get it to work I'll just go for plan B and paint it like a steel plate.

Amazing work so far! Though I agree the leather needs a bit of work...IMO it's a bit orange...could just be my computer's graphics card though (it's a bit outdated.)

I can sympathize totally on the back....I tend to hunch a lot while painting, which doesn't do wonders for me....it seems it never hurts until I finally stand up. :o

What colors did you use for the haft on the axe, if you don't mind sharing?
