I have just about finished the model, and I will finish it tomorrow morning, so that I can bring it in to Games Workshop. Tomorrow isn't Golden Demon day, but I want to get it in early. I'm also not going to be doing any scenic bases, just an ordinary sand and grass base :)

Ok, I have changed some of the colours and I think it looks a bit better, the model still needs some fixing up though and I need to do the base:

Sorry to be harsh, but if you're going to enter Golden Demon, you really have to fix the blending a bit better. Highlights are too sharp.

Well, I have decided to delay handing in the model for a week, because I think it could look way better...

No offense to the winner, but that Radagast sucks. Even I can paint better! (That's not a good thing  ) If you have the same opponents he had last year, you'll win for sure :)

Edit: AHHH!!! What did you do to his facemask and belt!!! 3 words: BLENDING, BLENDING, and BLENDING! :-D

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. But he did do a good job on blending, but the face, gloves, belt, recesses and the Bird don't look that good at all close-up, but if you see it from a not so close picture, it looks better :-X

I finished painting the Hasharin this morning and have just gotten back home from handing it into my Local Games Workshop. When I got there, there was about 35 models in the glass cabinent, but none were entered in my category, which isn't a bad thing because I will have a better chance of winning :-D

I think I have done a pretty good job on the blending, especially on the cloak, which unfortunately you can't see very well when I use my camera :(

I didn't paint the rim of the base with any Vermin Brown, but left it black, because I think it goes well with the colours of the model and Vermin Brown is a very bright colour.

I painted the gems on him using red, and I think they look ok, but they look better if without using a camera. I hope the blending looks ok

The face looks pretty cool

Hey nice!

If there is one improvement i could suggest, its that the cloak does not have enough dark shading on it. And it doesn't have enough light highlights. The colour is too flat.
Now this is just my personal opinion so please don't take this advice on board if you don't want to.

keep it up mate. 8)

P.S I love the green cloth and the orange gems. Very nice!

Well, the cloak looks a lot better if you see it with your own eyes, I need to get a better camera... and I cant really change it that much because it's currently at Games Workshop

I love the face. =) Very nice. I still have a bit hard immagining an assassin wearing a yellow cape though, but that's just my own opinion. =P

Good luck with the contest thingy.

Very nice painting Gorgoroth! 8) The cape does look a bit flat in the pic but the green cloth, gems and face are all very good.

Good luck in the competition.

Ok, it's the 11th today and Golden Demon Day was yesterday, and im pretty sure that was the judging day. I didn't do into Games Workshop yesterday, so I don't know if I made it to the Regional finals, maybe the results will appear on their website, or I should probably just call up.

Anyway, I have started work on my Haradrim Chieftain, he needs a few Devlan Mud washes on the armour but here's what he looks like

Looks good, Billy. 8)

The blending on a few areas, on the back in particular, could use some work, but other then that its good. I really like the belt, it looks great.

I love the tunic. :D

You also managed to make the white look good, which I find difficult to do. 8)

Looking great!

Thanks! :D

Yeah, white is a hard colour to get right, but if you use lots of layers it will look good. 8)

Hi,
I really like your Haradrim colour scheme. It's very original and one i've never seen before. In particular i like the yellowy-beige coloured clothes, they work really nice alongside the clean white.

The Cheiftain looks great so far.

Cheers,
Mike.

As noted the blending needs a little work, but the white and the colour scheme in general is very nice.
:yay:
