How about:

Deorwine, Elfhelm foot and mounted

New "Elfhelm's Riders" in plastic or metal.

Dismounted Riders of Rohan in plastic. Same WOTR stats, but on foot (obviously)

Warriors of Rohan effectively become the aged militia warriors defending Helm's Deep.

Oh and a few youthful Rohir boys like Haleth in metal. Because nothing says poignant bravery like Haleth's little scene.

One of Rohan's problem is that its core soldiery type figures are highly repetitive. Look at the great mass combat scenes in the WOTR rulebook. It gets obvious really quickly, especially when the Riders are involved. Another 6 rider types to go with the Sons of Eorl and Rohan Royal Guard would be most welcome. As would a 12 to a sprue set of dismounted riders each one looking like their mounted counterparts.

Aren't those just Warriors of Rohan?

That was my first thought too.

I think so too? My friend atleast used normal Rohan warriors to represent thrown riders.

Riders of rohan and warriors of rohan are just the same, except one has a horse and the other doesn't. (and riders can have a bow whilst still maintaining defense from their shield)

I thought everyone knew that.

They are.

However, the models themselves are not those of dismounted Riders of Rohan. Rather, the models are based on the men defending Helm's Deep and some of the dismounted riders we see in the Warg Attack scene. So a bit of both. Hence my wish for more Riders and a sprue of dismounted riders. :)

I see your point. But they are not really necessary. So I wouldn't count my luck on it.

Hmm... maybe we might see Grimbold. Wouldn't mind having that character either, if his model is cool.

Grimbold sounds great, as does Elfhelm. The Dismounted Rider is interesting, though probably unlikely. I would really love plastic Royal Guard, that would be simply fantastic. :)

I would like another troop type. Gondor and mordor has all sorts of different types and variations of troops, but Rohan doesn't.

Maybe some elite troops with two handed weapons would be interesting. Something Rohan doesn't have.

What about all those different riders in the WoTR book? Elfhelm's Riders, Royal Knights, etc etc..

I don't have the book close to hand, but how about a release of figures that could be assembled as Elfhelm's Riders, or Deorwine's riders or whatever else.

Release foot versions as well. Profit.

I think just a couple of regular boxes would suffice. One called "The Marshals' Riders" that is accompanied by a WD article about how to colour the Eoreds of Elfhelm, Erkenbrand, Deorwine, etc and then one called "The Royal Knights of Rohan"

The multi-part boxes are too pricey for me.
