A fantastic article, with some intriguing insights into sculpting and improvisation. And the finished piece fits in very well with the GW version at a tiny fraction of the price!
There are a couple of details I would do slightly differently for ease of construction - I foresee mass production at some stage... 8)
10/10 chief!

That is lovely, i would rate it, but the rating box has gone somewhere and i can't see it hehe.

I love the miliput sculpted details, the spikes on the top, the chains, all the little details.

once again: FANTASTIC!!!

Great work. Looks much better than the GW version. Now can you show us how to make a troll loader for it? :)

The last picture with the painted head is truly scary!

Fantastic project Nathan, when you said you were making a guide for those beauty, I didn't think it would turn out quite this good, and detailed!

Very good, will you be making other siege instruments? I do hear a group of orcs chanting 'Grond....Grond...Grond...'

Why'd you give a coin to The One Ring Community account? It's Natarn that did it :P

Great work Nathan! It looks really good and the article as always is well constructed and easy to understand. Another brilliant article!

Ok, just fixing the gold coin issue.

I'll add a Gold Coin to the articles author, mr. Ulka, stash, as I have no idea how to remove this one now. No harm done, its a OR bot anyway.

Lovely article! the sculpting is great (as usual), but I must note that for me the thing that throws the rocks (forgive my ignorance, I forgot what it's called  ) lacks a little realism... but that's just me
I give it a 9/10 :)

:-D Thanks for the comments, everyone. Oh, and for that gold coin, gambit. Much appreciated. 8)

Hey, Ranger, I take your point. The basket that holds the stones could be improved. Feel free to give me some ideas.

Fishlegs would like a loader troll article!

Perhaps an entire article on how to sculpt the crew for the catapault? I know I would like it.
