Sorry I haven't had an update in a while guys, so here is what I have been working on.

I got a Mumakil about 2 weeks ago and I have assembled it since then and also added a plastic chain as a tusk weapon, but I still haven't finished filling in gaps.

Also, as you might know I have started Minas Tirith, but I have started a new WiP for it as it is such a bit project. Click Here

Wow! Nice job! All I have to suggest is maybe add some spikes to the leather on the tusks... but otherwise, it's looking great ;)

And almost forgot, what's up with the grassy bases of the Haradrim? :P

Then should I add sand and grass to the Howdah's Base? :P

Yeah, the addition of a few spikes would look good and it's nice to see effort going into making the model look good itself, not just with the layer of paint. 8)

Thanks, I just couldn't help adding some detail after seeing the White Dwarf Article on the Archive at GW's website

That article has so many different cool things to do with mumaks thanks! I had never seen it before. :)

I have to say that adding some spikes to the tusks would be really cool (or even add some armour with spikes onto the head of the mumak like in the article. Now that was cool :D 8) )

Today I got my ticket into the under 14's LotR category (Demon Initiate) for Golden Demon. :D

As you guys might know I am entering the Hasharin, except painted in the Haradrim Desert Scheme (go to page 4 to see where I am up to in painting it)

I still haven't finished it even though it has been over a month :P but I have until the 10th of October, which is Golden Demon day.

I haven't had time to paint it because of Mumakil, Minas Tirith, sport etc, and it's really annoying me that I still haven't painted it.

Any advise for the GD is welcome! :-D

Ok, another update on the Hasharin, but there isn't much difference

Here's the pictures:

Image
Image

I have had to detach the slot from the model, because it was for some reason ususually high.

Image

This is the face which is still not done, and the black spot over the forehead is from where I dropped the model and unfortunately made a dent in the hood, but I think it's all ok now. :D

Image

I have also fixed up the layers on the white cloth on his arm, and I think it looks pretty good. :-D

Image

I am not sure about this freehand I have done, I'm not sure if the green suits the colour of the hood, what do you guys think?

Image

And I am not sure about the black on the body of the model either, I don't think it looks that good. I am thinking about using the colour Wiktor used for the Haradrim Turbans, but that colour is really similar the the cloak's colour. What colour should I use?

Image

C&C is very welcome 8)

Looks good Gorgoroth!

I like the skintones and the colour of the cloak is very good, I think the freehand goes nicely.

As fir the main body, how about a pale/babyish blue?

Thanks Jake,

Thats a good idea, but maybe a light green colour would suit it more

That'd work much better and also make the freehand look less out of place.

Lovely job! Certainly your best piece so far! I agree though on the black robes... they contrast too much with the rest of the model. I think a pale green would suit it marvelously if done correctly, but watch out for that poison vial (?) on his belt; you still want that to stand out!

Keep it up, mate! :-D

Thanks Julian, 8)

Maybe I'll just change the colour of the poinsons to like bright red or something.

That'd look great, mate! Just make sure it's not the same red as the 'belt'!

Thats really good Billy. The freehand on the hood is really good, its nice and neat and doesn't detract the rest of the model.

Well done mate 8)
