How cool! I'm also attending. My partner is buying me my ticket with a bit of luck however I've never met him lol.

It will be great to finally meet you two (Jack and James?) and hopefully we'll be battling it out. See you on the 27th :D

yep....well I say yes but we're unsure now. I got the details for the competition today and we thought that 'take the prize' was like seize the prize, but its actually take and hold

so now we have to rethink the list!!!!!!!

AAARRGGHHHH!!!!!

Spoke to my partner today and GW Wakefield. Everything is sorted so I'm definitely going

Dwarves is the order of the day!

Thinking about it, shouldn't this be in the 'Tournament and Events' thread further down the forum list?

Hey James and Jack - glad to see some 'evil' competition, my Dwarves didn't really fancy the idea of taking on men or elves. See you bright and early outside the shop (or late if the alarm clock fails)...

Well what can I say...hazer morzy and myself were a little dissappointed. There were a few snags that appeared, eg.

During Recontire <insert correct spelling> we had run 2 models of and the opponents could run two of (on the last turn) However 1 of our models was able to charge their model (faramir) and allow a minor victory. We charged, then they complained we hadn't given them enough time to see if any heroics needed calling ( a lie we had waited a good 2 mintues surveying what we could do to block any runners/make a run)

and a few others......

But I do have one question (he knows who he is) Were those dice loaded...I mean JEBUS CRUST, its was just 6s followed by 6s all the time. LITERALLY!

I had great fun, for a first tourney, Erky and the stranger performed fairly well. Few 'snags' in two of our games but overall I loved it! Great fun!

LMAO! You guys (excluding Hazer Morzer and Newbie) wouldn't believe it even if you saw it! The guy you want to ask is Martin, his dice, but between you and me, I think they probably were  Either that or the Gods were shining on us in that game :D We hadn't rolled that many 6s in all other 3 games combined. I say 'we', rather 'he' lol

You two were great sports though, credit were its due.

I have that, the opponent rolling 6's.
Hope you enjoyed the game.

Also you may complain when they are lucky, but when you are you probably don't seem to mind

the firsty game was funny, the enemy had 11 guys off the table and we had some off but then we managed to get more of our force off which took us to less than 25% and the guy we were playing started moaning because he thought it was as soon as its reduced to 25% not the turn.

grrr The newbie i cant belive you killed suladans horse  but he still beat shagrat warleader in the contest of champions one hehe.

i was supprised that there was only about 2 good armies

oh and if anyones interested then there was 3 wanderers in the wild (gildor +dunedain) boxes

We didn't get a game Jack however I'll contact you for one sometime this summer if you like.

Did you guys take an all mounted force?

Good to see so many One Ringers there
