Wow! I can't believe I missed this diorama!

You have captured a memorable scene from the film perfectly. I love the way the knights are painted, and seeing them altogether is wonderful. The only problem I can find is that it looks like Faramir is about to strike Gandalf with his sword, but that just adds to the tension! Too bad New Line didn't think of it!

After a While batch of pictures.

First of all finished diorama, I'll post finished Cmon link to save space. - http://www.coolminiornot.com/168620

Second contestan Saruman, Mini I painted in 3 hours, I'm out of black so I need to do something that did not require lot of it. Anyway I went for custom Scheme. Usual Bleached bone just don't appeal to me. I tried something to detirmine his multicoloursness. How It presents is up to Tou, I'm hoping to get some oppinions.

Last is Legolas. I painted him 2 days ago - boring Sunday I guess. I experimented with cloak and tried some freehand on robes.

Both minis were painted rather quickly but i'm quite satisfied with results especially that I won't be using them at all, just for joy of painting ;)

Only 1 bad thing to say about the diorama and that is that, in my opinion, it looks like faramir is about to strike gandalf down. apart from that It looks pro, i love it!

As for these 2 i love what you did to saruman of many colours. it looks really good and i love the base! the palantir is great too! Finally legolas, like the freehand but the dirt on the robes is a bit too thick for my likeing

Both look great! Not sure about Saruman's inner robe though, perhaps it would be a good colour to have used before he became corrupted? Other than that I love the freehand on Legolas and Sarumans face looks full of secrets...
(Well thats my opinion )

They look really good! Except I think that the mud splatter on the bottom of Legolas' robes is much too exaggerated. Just my 2 cents!

They look great and I like the freehand, but I must say that I agree with Vendix, the mud splatter is too exaggerated.

Nice use of colours on Saruman's robes. It looks like when he was still a good guy.
The design on Legolas' quiver is very impressive.

Keep up the good work!

HEy guys again, after very long break I managed to get something done yesterday. Just a brief work with Milliput But I think you might be interested.

I'm aiming to sculpt an Ent for my Wood Elves army (I could have buy it but I have some spare Milliput and GS so it'll be nice to try something else than painting ;) )

Anyway here's the beggining. I made wire mesh and covered it with millipu since it's more durable than GS, plus I have more of it so I don't mind using it that way. Later I Put it on a base made of Milliput also.

Any comments and criticis welcome as usual.

very nice start!

I assume the hands/fingers will become thinner and with better visible phalanxes (I had to look up this word...)? as they look a bit like claws of Lego Bionicles at the moment ;-)

They will. just wanted to see if it's better to leave them now and than finish with GS or to make them from milliput and as you can see milliputs does not allow to create so slim parts to be sculpted (at least not the basic one)

wow it really looks good, but i'm a bit confused about its feet, because they are looking a bit like an ent wearing shoes. So if i was u i would trie to make the ent's feet look like they are just roots, well it looks superb anyway, i would like to see them finished! :D

So I took all I could from last weekend and Finished sculpting phase (or rather "sculpting").

I intend add some omre tweaks to it's hands, feet and maybe perhaps body.

As you can see I've chosen to give him deep seated eyes and I intend to make some eyebrows with sponge to give him more grim look (or funny it's up to you)

Hopefully I'll be able to paint him tonight to post finished pics tommorow with some scale reference.
