Hi again all, and here is a new WIP thread I am going to run this alongside the continuation of my Boromir WIP that I started ages ago but I have restarted working on him too so hopefully I can keep Lotr and Non Lotr wips running alongside each other. I was bought a set of Chaos Chosen minis for Christmas by a good friend of mine and have started work on them already (well one of them anyway) and here are the latest WIP pics of the model, This is a warrior dedicated to the ruinous power of Nurgle and I have tried to make this look a bit more grimy than I usually do. The head has been left off at this stage to make painting easier. Hope you like it so far. |

Very unique colour-sheme you use for him, will fit very well in a Nurgle background! Looking forward to see further progress! The metallics are as usual the best you can find on the net... Oh Jah, why didn't you reward me with a talent like that? Is it because I broke a Christmas figure from the stable under the Christmastree when I was 6 years old? Or because I gave the Jesus-figure a clownsface with wasco (wax-pencils?) when I was 10? |

Thanks guys, I have taken a bit of time off Boromir to get some more done to this and now he is not too far off being finished which is good as I bought a set of the new plastic Grots and i am itching to make a start on one or two of them, Once he is done I'll finish Boromir and then onto the Grots and possibly Gandalf too. |

Amazing stuff! I've been meaning to ask, what size brush do you use? My smallest is a 3/0 (if i read it correctly) but I was wondering if you use a smaller type, and if so where can I go to get one? |

That's a very interesting color scheme, TIm, but I think it works well with this miniature. Thanks for sharing! |

Nearly there, he would have been done today but I spent this morning writing up the first part of my Boromir article, any how here he is. And some close ups Borrowed the wife's digicam to take these shots. |

The mark of a great painter is that images which show the mini at far greater size than it is, are impeccable in tone, detail and depth. This could easily be mistaken for a 54mm mini (or larger). Wonderful Tim, simply wonderful. |

Thanks guys, just finished this and am playing around with my wife's spanking new camera. It was quite alot of fun to do, I wanted to keep it simple and yet still make it eyecatching so hopefully I have managed that. I have just started another Chaos mini, Archaon mounted. To answer an earlier question I typically use brush sizes from 1 right the way down to 5/0 depending on how small a piece of detail is or indeed the size of the area I am painting. |

I'm not sure what the GW version looks like, but yours looks brilliant. The highlights on the weapon straps and the metalic sections are second to none. Looking forward to the next mini |

Tidoco .. Tidoco .. Where have I heard that name before? Ah , Yes, His name was sung by the muses to Homer, who wrote an additional chapter in his Iliad about this revered god of Miniature painting. |

You are definitely on the right track! The highlights on the cloak are too good and the horse is looking pretty scary right now, keep at it |

Apparently, my missus is very keen on my blue eyes, so in future, I'm going to avoid reading any post by Tim, so that they stay that colour... |
