Looks pretty good to me. I never played as Chaos in WH40K and it ha been a while since my last game so my memory is a bit vague - obliterators are like souped up Chaos versions of heavy weapons Terminators? Only 2 teensey weensey pieces of criticism - the base for a Chaos figure should really be a little more nasty - the odd skull, gravel, puddle of dirty water or oil, and the second thing is that the picture could be slightly brighter - you have done a lot of fine work on a detailed mini but most people will not be able to see that in the pic. |

Nice obliterator! I know what it's like to paint one of those lovely models, mine was also red but brighter as my army was the word beares chapter. I agree that the base would look a bit better with some more details like Dorthonian suggested. Any chance of pictures of the rest of your army?I love choas space marines! |

Not alot of my chaos army has been painted but I will be sure to post more up when more are completed. I'll be doing some raptors soon and perhaps some of my terminators and my deamon prince. Quote: obliterators are like souped up Chaos versions of heavy weapons Terminators?
Pretty much how they have been portrayed but in the Chaos Codex it says in the description for Obliterators: Most Obliterators started out life as Techmarines of the Imperium... Which was surprising to me aswell . Thanks, Jake |

The obliterator looks great. My only sugguestion is that the rock on the base needs more of a realistic tone, as it stands out a bit from the base if you know what I mean.(Only a sugguestion ) |

I'm suggesting that when you assemble the obliterator next time, you glue all sand and stones to the base before you prime him. You basing could use a little more volume and contrast. Proper basing and modeling is half the work of a good model. (ugly base + weird pose with a superb paint job looks worse than a well-based model with a nice dramatic pose with tabeltop quality paintjob) Buy some cheap kind of green stuff alike clay to put some volume into the base. Dont be affraid to use razorwire or pieces of terrain into your bases. What also works well is multiple sizes of basing sand/slate. I base my models with modeling sand, with patches of fine slate here and there. I always spraypaint my bases along with the models. |

Nice painting on a model that is really poor IMO. I never have like d the concept of the chaos obliterators, I think you did about as good on this as you could. |

Thanks guys. I appreciate your words Sarcon, but to be honest I did base this model a while ago and my amount of basing materials was very bad. I have recently bought the Citadel basing kit and next month am planning on getting hte master basing kit fro Spectrehobbies so hopefully all that will make it all the better Thanks, Jake |
