Right ... where to start? from the top i guess. Adboe - Fantastic smooth paint job on Gothmog. The warg is particularly well painted and the photography is outstanding. Straight into my top 5! FrogmortonJustice65 - Those eyes are awesome!!! The whole face has a really creepy and sinister look to it which befits the goblin perfectly. The sores are also very well done. Great paint job all round. Excellent skin tone also. Aule the Valar - You picked a tough model this month as white is by far the hardest colour to work with. You've done it justice mate although a mid tone is needed i think to break up the model a little. Try watering down some snakebite leather and washing the model and then rehighlighting with bleached bone and a couple of drops of water, add skull white to this mix for successive highights. An excellent paint job and a brave entry. Bernardo - Love the colour on the piece and the base is excellent. Best part of the model for me is the spines and horns which are masterfully done mate. Top 5 contender! Gandlaf - Mally this is your best work to date I think. The base is outstanding and the blending is flawless. The only thing holding the model back for me is the straight line of blue around the sides of the rock which has already been discussed so i won't go into again. Top 5 easily! Halauas - Great base work buddy, the cracked ground is extremely effective for a haradhrim warior. Great work on the eyes too. Maybe one thing to improve would be to take the highlighting on the red a stage further to really make the model pop. Overall paint job is well executed. well done! Karavatis Karavatis Karavatis - Consistently high end paint jobs and conversions from you and this time is no exception. What an absolutely fantastic rendition of a shade. I love it!! Really dark , scary feel to the model just as it should be. Top 5 again! Rognarr - paint jobs from yourself are always so crisp and lifelike and you've achieved this again this month with Lurtz. The white hand, dirty armour and leather are fantastic mate... and the bowstring. Straight into my top 5. Jelier - Fantastic skin tone on this guy. I think I like it better than the pinky hue of the usual cave trolls. The idea of the shields hanging around his neck is a very good one and has been executed well. I'd like to have seen a closer pic of the poor dwarf on the base. Great stuff mate. Joshuar_au - Another great piece from another great painter. Skin tones is spot on, armour excellent. Love the idea of the helmet and you've pulled it off well. One thing I would look at to enhance the piece slightly is to break up the colour on the rock on the base. It is very sort of one colour gray at the moment. Try watering down some dark angels green to the point where it is almost just water and just wash areas of the rock that would be contact with water ie. round the bottom where the rock meets the floor and any reccess' in the rock face. Gryphonne sepia watered down and also devlan mud watered down can look extremely effective on rock. Great looking piece again buddy - well done. The Big Goblin - Boromir must be very hot under all that armour. Maybe he should have worn it at Amon Hen and the Lord of the Rings could have been very dfferent. Paint job on the piece looks pretty good buddy although admittedly I know nothing about space marines at all so its difficult to offer C&C. Different for sure. Aranel7773 - This is a great rendition of this particular model. Excellent eyes and gemstones. The white is also very well done. Great looking miniature . well done. Powerofwill - Love what you've done with this guy. The dagger blade is outstanding as is the base and clothing colour. Lovely freehand design on the cloak too. I get the feeling that the pictures are not doing the paint job justice with this piece. There seems to be a fair bit of shine on the cloak which is more thn likely not as visible when the model is in front of you. If you get to a point in your paint jobs where model does start to appear glossy then use a very thinned down devlan mud wash and this will eliminate the shine. Consistently high standard of painting from you. Top errrr i think i've used all my top 5 spaces haven't I? ah nobodies counting *cough cough* Top 5!!! well done mate. So...... after all that who am i going to vote for? Can't decide, will have to come back |

I had to go with the Shade, though choice as usual but this one just stands out for me. |

Gandlaf for me. The blending is great, and the work on the white sleeve excellent. Of course, lovely basing. I really like Karavatis' entry also, but we're not voting on the conversion work (worthy of note though it is), and while the painting is excellent and the choice of colour very atmospheric and powerful, I think Gandlaf just has the edge. |

Well Rognarr, you get my vote again this month. Lurtz looks outstandingly realistic But there was some other great minis too, like Gandlaf's Sharky, joshuar_au's Uruk, and that Shade from Karvatis. They just slipped the vote. All great entries all around though |

Quite a tough choice (again) this month, it's hard to pick as there are so many great entries... The happier am I about your nice comments concerning my entry. It's a great feeling to read this kind of critique while there is so much competition |

Had such a hard time deciding between Gandlaf and Rognarr. In the end I went with Rognarr because the flesh is very well done and it's hard to do that mottled look well. And simply because I'm amazed you got Lurtz to photograph so well, I cannot get my Uruks to photograph well at all |

Unfortunately not without resetting the poll bud. I got the idea from the Lord of the Rings forum we're on Like I said before I know nothing at all about Space Marines so if its not specified that it is a Chaos Space Marine Chosen then to me it could be David Cameron in space marine armour. No offence meant at all. just a bit of fun. |

And the prize for most original entry goes to 'Boromir in Space Marine armour'. I wonder can I do Gandalf in a tank? |
