The purpose of this poll is to determine which of the above categories will be the theme of the March Painting Challenge. The poll will run until 16:37PM on February 13th GMT, leaving everyone with a short amount of time to go out and get the materials they might need in order to participate next month.

* Command Group - this would consist of a captain and at least one of the following; banner bearer, musician or shaman/priest (for example you could have an Easterling Captain and an Easterling Banner Bearer, or you could have an Easterling Captain and an Easterling War Priest, or you could have an Easterling Captain, an Easterling Banner Bearer AND an Easterling War Priest).

* Parent and Child - this would consist of a parent and their child (for example Boromir and Denethor, Paladin and Peregrin, Arathorn and Aragorn etc).

* Royalty - this would consist of any King, Queen, Princess or Prince in Middle-earth (for example King Elessar, King Theoden, the King of the Dead, the Witch-King, Thranduil, Legolas etc).

UPDATE - February 17th - A new 48 hour poll has begun, during which we will decide which of the two tied categories from the previous poll will be the theme for the March Painting Challenge.

Yep that'd be fine, I just forgot to put taskmasters into the example.

Yes a drummer (or 'drummers' for the goblins) would come under musician.

Voted "royalty", as there I can actually participate. I seem to have a tendency towards not being able to participate in this challenge for various reasons (in order from november: No mini, no idea (for the Winter challenge), dead camera, no mini, and now No mini threatening again, as I don't have a command group :( )

Command group would be convenient for me as I have one in my painting queue, but also I think banners are great material for contests like this.

Royalty! I need to paint Gil-Galad to have someone prevent this month's Sauron from conquering the whole Middle-earth.

Yes she does.

And the Spider Queen could also qualify for "Parent & Child" too, if you threw in some broodlings!

I voted for command, as I have the old Gondorian Command set begging to be painted(Captain, Banner bearer and hornblower).

Parent and child stands no chance of winning though. I am voting for 'Royalty'.
