Wasn't a dig buddy, sorry if it sounded such! The only reason we have the challenges at all is because of the time and effort you put in, tis very much appreciated!

Haha no need to apologise bud I was only messin about (in other words i'm not sorry at all lol) I'm finally clear of all the real life busyness (is that a word?) so have a lot more time to spend around the boards again and to paint too. For those of you who are waiting on me for one thing or another i'm on it full throttle.

I don't think it was that it was too specific, but it seems a lot of people have had other things on this last month and just weren't able to get things going for this challenge. That and having an excellent entry so early can get people a bit down on things.

In one way though, I can see how it was too specific, as most people have been through the Goblin Town phase already, so there generally isn't a lot of interest there at the moment I feel.

Maybe a technique based painting challenge might interest some of the newer hobbyists? Drybrush, best face, best armour, first NMM. Let me know if any of these seem appealing, I'll see if I can put together a guide to start off the challenge - im not the best at painting but I think I understand the techniques enough to be able to encourage other people, even if I do struggle to finish models off.
Alternatively, maybe a terrain project instead of the painting/conversion would be helpful for getting people started on the Duel challenge.

I think it was the three entries thing for me, I could take time out to paint one goblin town model nicely but not three haha.

I think not that many people have purchased goblin town aswell, I mean really many people just still collect old armies and dont bother that much with the new hobbit stuff (not YET atleast) and goblin town is an expensive box to invest on. I will not say it is a bad one but like myself i would not buy it as i dont like the new goblin sculpts and willing to wait for a seperate dwarf fellowship to come out.
Anyway, looking forward to next challenge :)

Haha just went to set the voting thread up and realised there was only one entry. Well done James, A great entry just a shame it had no one to go up against.

I had entered, if I had more than just Gollum to enter (since it was a 3-mini-challenge..)
