Sorry Elf lover I was being overly generous with my time i think. I won't have time to paint Beruthiel i don't think. I'll certainly try tho. The Aragorn in the pic is almost finished.

Ok heres my entry. I resisted the urge to do a scenic base and just went with a little experiment with NMM instead.

DMS' Aragorn is simply stunning, but nevertheless, since I was painting several heroes this month anyhow, I will use the opportunity to take part in my first ever monthly challenge with Gimli on a scenic base. Here's my proof pic:

Here is a WIP photo:

...and here's another WIP pic of the scenic base:

I'll post a pic of the final result shortly...

Yee gads DMS that is simply gorgeous! I don't know what I'm more impressed by, the paint job or the fact you turned it around in a week! absolutely stunning work as always, flawless paint job and the NMM just looks incredible - truly inspirational! My entry just ran screaming into the night :-)

Also great work on Glorfindel Barks, very nice effort, the hands are particularly good 8)

Great job DMS, the nmm looks fantastic. :yay:
I kinda had to do the opposite of you, I had to do a scenic base instead of nmm due to the fact that the only decent looking hero I had was Galadriel.
The actual model itself wasn't in the best condition, so it looks a bit grainy, so I tried to make for it with the base.

A Mumak would be eligible right? If so, I might give it a shot.

EDIT: shoot, this is the october challenge. Oh well, I'll throw in some Haradrim to make the Mumak eligible for the november challenge :P

Great Aragorn Kev with nice touches of the stubble and free hand cloak. I love the jewel and I know you've mentioned this before but what is your technique please ?
I have an idea for a future project to incorporate something similar and to get that jewelled look would aid no end.

The gemstone guide is seriously useful. Absolutely beautiful effect. I feel inspired to bling out my Gil Galad's shield! I would not be surprised if successful, that the rest of the Noldor will have a similar trip to De Beers!

Great base Celevue. I have to admit I didn't realise it was a sculpted face at the first view !!! But now I don't know how I missed it....
