Well as predicted I got 3rd place, but many thanks to the 11 people who voted for me. 8)

Congratulations to Pasi and Bart. :yay: I still have a way to go yet with this painting thing. It's not my strong field. Maybe I should start up a monthly sculpting challenge thread for the forums budding sculptors/convertors .

as predicted... as predicted... pah UKFB! I expected less votes for me and more for you!
Congrats anyway mate! It's actually a nice result, we all three had a fair amount of votes in the end :)
And thanks aswell Dave :)
Competitions such as these are the best way to spice up your painting skills. I remember myself taking part in several competitions, and I always wanted to end up higher and do better. And every time, I found myself painting better and better (well, more like learning the techniques more and more). And that way, no matter where you end up, you always win something for yourself which none can take from you! And that's a prize worth more of the entire shire! Erm... I mean... a prize you which can't be bought with money.

Congrats to Pasi for the win! Great job mate!

See you two (and many more) in the Theoden-contest! :)

Cheers mates! Great challenge! And thanks to Jake for organizing this!

In addition to what Bart says, these challenges are a great way to get things done instead of just hoarding unpainted minis in the cabinet. :) I ended up painting six wargs, the warg chieftain, three orcs, twelve rangers and starting Arathorn to have some Arnor/Angmar forces. So, because of Buhrdur as the challenge model, I painted a total of 23 models last month!

I'll have to agree that these are three perfectly painted miniatures. They're all winners. But if I have to pick one it would be the first one because of the wonder work done on the face.
