Very nice, great fine details and trims. I must say I'm not a fan of the raised axe choice, it looks too much like a tomahawk and not at all dwarvish to my eye.

Tomogui - Nice job mate, those golden details look great, the tomb is brilliant. How did you do the dwarf lingo?

Hey, I really liked your entry too. Very atmospheric, and good contrast of the dark reds and golds.

For the dwarf inscription, I worked a little Google image-search magic:

I wish I'd been able to inscribe it instead of just ink it on. I think for playability, I'll end up just basing him on a normal round base and place the Book next to him.

Im done with my Gimli. It was pretty exciting to work on a little figure, such as a dwarf. I like this figure. I will make Legolas and Aragorn in the future, so I can make a three hunter company for WOTR. :-D :gimli: :legolas: :aragorn:

I am planning to do a 60mm scenic base for each of the non - combatant poses of the fellowship and Gimli seemed like a good place to start .

Well, I finally have progress.

Here is the whip picture.
Image

And some WIP pics. Sorry for the size and blurriness. The Picture Editor isn't working like it should. Either their in focus and cropped but small, or decent sized and cropped but blurry. I don't know. :?

And here he is next to the other Gimli I painted alongside him.

I'll finish the base tonight hopefully and take pictures in the sunlight.
Great entries to everyone so far!
It's gonna be a tough fight for the win.

nice work, seems like everyone had some gimli's hidden somewhere. It will be hard to vote.

Heres my finished entry.

I think I can only enter 4 pictures but I have 5 so I'll upload them all and we'll deal with the extra when the problem arises.
