Does anyone know if a formation uses a hero's courage even if it is lower than their's was to begin with. For example: Peregrin Took, Guard of the Citadel (Courage 3) joins a formation of Citadel Guards (courage 4) with no other hero there. To reiterate the question: If a hero with courage <x joins a formation with courage x, which courage value would be used? |

No, you use the highest courage available, just like with fight. |

That is what I would expect but then it also says on pg64 Quote: A formation that contains a hero uses that hero's courage value It seems to say that u ALWAYS use the hero's courage value.
