I think what Stormcrow is trying to say without writing like a [word deleted] off twelve year old, is no. |

There is some confusion over Mighty Blow because both Boromir and Lurtz have the ability but it is worded differently for each of them. A strict "Rules as Written" interpretation would be that Boromir's version of the ability ONLY works in a duel, as it says hits HE inflicts, and heroes only fight as themselves in duels; while Lurtz's version says hits his formation inflicts, meaning his ability only works in the regular fight and NOT in duels. Personally, I think they meant for both abilities to be identical and to work like Lurtz' because the ability seems awfully powerful if applied to duels but when writing the entry for Boromir they forgot how Epic Heroes in the game work and were just thinking like an Independent Character in Warhammer. You should discuss the issue with your local play group and come to a decision on how you want to treat them and then be consistent. |

Thanks for the comments guys , your reasoning makes good sense. Stormcrow id appreciate it if your comment could be more constructive instead of being so immature and obnoxious !! Isn't this site here to ask questions? |

I would actually say that both ways the rules are written apply to both. I'm pretty sure Lurtz is his company only though, which makes complete sense, it does use his fight value (his skill basically) to gain extra attacks, and in a Duel it is that hero himself, so it should definitely apply then. But yea, definitely talk it over with your group before you use it. |

draugluin im sorry but could you just explain how this would work in a duel i thought you worked out the difference in the score and then rolled on the table to see the results ?. how would the rule work? i still dont get it |

When you do a duel, you 1. see who wins, then 2. whoever wins rolls X amount of dice, X being the amount they won the duel by, then 3. apply the results of the X amount of dice that you rolled. So Mighty Blow just means that if Boromir or Lurtz wins a heroic duel, they just need one hit on the hero they're dueling to kill him. |
