In the bolt of fire rules. it says the target suffers hits on a 2-5, but if a 6 is rolled, it says EVERY formation..even though you only choose one at the beginning....

any clarifications as to what actually happens here...

I'm probably certain it says something along the lines of "every company in the formation"...Though I don't have the rulebook with me.

from the book:

"Bolt Of Fire - Choose 1 formation within 18" of the caster and roll a D6. On a 2 to 5, the target immediatly suffers D6+3 strength 5 hits (ents instead suffer D6+3 Strength 6 hits). If a 6 is rolled, every formation instead takes D6+3 strength 7 hits(Ents instead suffer D6+3 Strength 9 hits)."

That could mean a few things... either every enemy formation in range takes the hits, or literally EVERY formation in range or not take the hits. This is another spell that needs the FAQ.

But gosh, that would be kick ass if everyone took the damage...

Do you really believe that every formation, frind or foe will take hits? You really think that is the intent of the rule and not that it comes a bit more powerful like every over spell when rolling a six?
