Today marks the 10th anniversary of the official launch of the One Ring. Many happy returns ol' chap.
This calls for a party surely?
Throughout the month we will be hosting a number of small events in order to celebrate the birthday of this website that has grown to be a part of many of our lives over the years.
We will have a re-release of the One Ring dice*, a 'Best Of' awards for the members to vote for their favourite in each category, purple names being dished out and a couple more surprises with prizes still to be decided. So keep your eyes and ears peeled...
Before I finish, I would like to send my thanks to silvertiggie and silverscott as well as Dagorlad for making the One Ring happen and keeping it here and thriving after all these years.
Once again, Happy birthday to the One Ring. Let's make it a good one.
*One Ring dice are obtained to order so will need to be paid for in advance. The cost for 8 dice is £5 GBP.
The £5 can be paid by using the donate button which will be added to the site shortly - please please (I can't stress this enough) when making your donation, include your One Ring username and which colour dice you are ordering (Red or Blue) in the notes section or we won't know who has ordered what.
Once the 10 year anniversary celebrations are over on 15/02/14 then the dice will be dispatched as soon as possible afterwards. There will be a limited amount of sets available, details to follow. An announcement thread for the Dice will be posted in the coming days.
It's the shame I've only been (somewhat) active over the past one year, but I've liked the site a lot. Cool to hear some events will be taking place to celebrate it! Also, the One Ring dice sound great, I'll likely try to get my hands on some.
