Hi everyone. When you log in today, you will see an additional link in the menus at the top - 'Home' - this will take you to the One Ring's new home page (you probably could have worked that out). This is the next step towards a fully integrated site with nicely themed graphics. I had hoped to get everything finished by now but it didn't happen (real life sucks sometimes). But this is the next step towards that goal.

The page can be accessed directly by typing in http://www.one-ring.co.uk/

I will start to customise it now and add in links to the galleries and article library as well as applying the LOTR-esque graphics, as well as placing the chatbox there too.

My first thought was to be startled at the change. My second thought was that we're getting closer to the site the way it was again.

The old home page was custom-built by me and was a pain to administer. This one is designed and built to integrate neatly with the forums and has a cool admin panel. I will custom build some modules to plug into it and so it will be easy to upgrade when a new version is released.

I'm glad that people are taking to it.

It would be great if you could add a link to the front page that could take you to the articles. When you arrive at the front page there is no clue as to how to find them.

Also, the article upload button is still not working
