I ought to have as well. It said (from memory now, this is roughly it) "A message will appear if it is a problem with your computer" And then it didn't. Someone let Dorth loose in the servers.

Wasn't that an annoying little episode? I woke up this morning to find the site down and no explanation for the problem. The site was offering up raw HTML pages but all PHP scripts were not working.

I contacted PowWeb immediately and 'suggested' they might like to fix it pronto. It took them a couple of hours but eventually the site went back to normal. No explanation for what had gone wrong at all.

The odd coincidence is that today is the day that the site fees are due! But, payment is taken automatically from my our account and there is more than enough in there to pay for a year's fees (thanks to the dice sales). So I can't see how that would have affected things but it's the only thing I can think of that might have done.

Anyway, I apologise for the outage. Unfortunately I have no idea why it wasn't working.

Had the same problem today but a different error message. Some server error couldn't get in for 20 min or so.

I'm having trouble this morning too, every page is blank white, if I refresh the page shows (sometimes) this is with IE, Google Chromegives me "500 internal server error" message and again works after a refresh.

Likewise Gents.

I've just arrived home from work and before writing more reports thought I'd check up on OR for PMs etc.

The weather forecast is for snow showers down to 500m around Melbourne tonight and low and behold that's what I found with OR.

I'm using Firefox on a Mac and got the lovely white pages also! A few requests to refresh the pages seemed to work ok.

As Alice in Wonderland said 'Curiouser and curiouser'

Kalatha

PS Exams + marking + reports = gross silliness + apologies for said behaviour!

I seem to be on OR but none of the graphics are loading. I don't know if this will get through. Its a little like being in windows safe mode. there was some sort of windows update today (but I haven't installed it yet)

There's nothing in the logs or on the support site to say that something was amiss, but I'll keep my eyes open and see if it happens to me today.

Man, I hope this doesn't mean we have to shift hosting companies.

Maybe it just means you currently have a shift hosting company?
