Post subject: | Members who cannot enter the OR Awards as a beginner |
Updated March 2008 If you name is on the list below then in line with the General Rules you cannot enter as a beginner for the One Ring Awards since you have won in one of the beginners categories in past competitions. We have decided that winners in the split beginners awards of the past will be counted as being equivalent to winning the new General Beginners Category. Quote: 6. If you win the General Beginners Category you will be no longer be considered a beginner and will have to enter the Open Categories in future. In addition, if you are good at one aspect of the hobby, say terrain making, but poor at miniature painting then you will NOT be considered a beginner. You will be expected to enter the appropriate Open Category. If you have an entry accepted for the General Beginners Category you will not be allowed to also enter a Open Category in the current competition. i.e you cannot be a beginner if you are entering any of the other categories. The 'One Ring Master Craftsman' - LOTR Themed Challenge is an exception as it is open to all.
Any entries you make must be in the open categories. This rule is designed to protect and encourage TRUE beginners to the hobby.
