Hello! I'm planning to make an Erebor table in Warmaster scale and I'm looking for reference pictures. I've already gathered pictures I've found on the internet and saved all the good frames from the movie. If you have any other source (for example Weta's Chronicles) please let me those pictures in any kind of format. Thanks in advance Miniman |

Could you by any chance post your finds here? I'm also quite interested in making an Erebor related terrain piece, and some pics would be very helpful |

Thanks for the pics and the ideas. I want to make "only" the front gate, and what I'm looking for is a floor plan or a cross-section or something like that. The best pictures I've found so far are these: |

Hi! I've just made a comparison picture about the flashback scene Erebor and the movie poster Erebor: And I just see some photoshoping here and there... - the entrance is much higher than it should be, - I don't know what's that big amount of debris there, - the right statue is in a little bit strange position, - the waterfall has changed, - and I don't know where Bilbo is standing... What do you think of? |

It's a poster after all, a kind of artistic piece, aiming to attract attention and build up expectations not to depict "real" places or whatsoever. A nice comparison nevertheless and nice proof of your eagle eyes (And for that gate: first the poster shows the gate after smaug broke it down, second what effect would a little gate with a tiny flame have? the "broken" gate is small enough already.. ) |
