Well I don't really know how to make realistic rubble.. i wanted rubble that was raised up so it was like a pile.. .. something will plaster i think i've seen before, but otherwise i don't know.

The second question is, does anyone know of a black spray paint that doesn't eat foam?

Thank's In Advance

Best rubble - cut up sprues + gravel + sand. Some polyfilla an hold it together quite well. I don't know if your last question is on the same issue, but if you're spraying rubble, the foam melting a bit might actually be good.

Well the spray was for making buildings out of foamboard & giving them a quick base coat. You have some good idea's there, I'll try giving them a go 8)

From my experience tamiya's spray paints do not eat through foam. GW seam to have taken down their terrain articles but if you can find it the article on how to make shelob's lair named a spray paint that did not eat through foam. I hope that helps.

I have used The Krylon H2O it will not melt foam.

To make rubble: Take some Aluminum foil and make a couple of small shallow trays. Pour plaster into the trays. When it is dry beat it apart with a hammer. If you wrinkle the foil it will work better. Pour some 1/2" some 1/4" some 1/8 inch beat it a part and mix in some sand. Glue it down with white glue. If you include some small broken pieces of wood it will add a lot.

woah the experts have come :D

That sounds like a good way to make some rubble, I'll give that one a go! I'll try that link with the spray paint. I'll have a search for the terrain article, not sure where I'll start.

Thanks again

Also, if you coat your foamboards in polyfilla for texturization purposes, that'll prevent the foam from melting. I do that on all my projects, although I can't seem to recall the name of the U.S. equivalent of polyfilla.

You can also use cat litter for rubble
