Ok so, somehow, i ended up putting a tournament together with the people from the Titan's wargames club ~(where that 500pt tournament was held in may). Well this time it is a single army 300pt tournament, but don't worry, we've resurrected oaths and whatnot to brighten up everyone's day. The venue is this lovely place:
http://www.northlondonimps.org/kontact/index.htmlThe date to slap in your diary is the 24th of march, as that is when this bad boy will occur.
There will be 5 games, all of which will be rolled for in The Hobbit Rulebook/relevant source-book. Everything must be painted, conversions and proxies are fine, as-long as they roughly represent what they are supposed to, and your opponent knows what they represent before each game. After every game you are awarded 'Tournament Points', and it goes without saying that tournament points are what win you the tournament! You are awarded the following per game:
5 points for a win
2 points for a draw
0 point for a loss
The oaths are as follows:
Merciful leader: The enemy leader is down to 1 wound or no fate by the end of the game (models who use their will as fate must go down to 25% of their original will)
Wasted potential: Nominate an enemy hero/monster at the start of the game, kill this model by the end of the game.
Hardcore leader!: Roll a d6 at the start of the game and show your opponent, the result of that is how many kills your leader has to score by the end of the game.
Cowardly tactics: Slain more enemy models with missile weapons and magical powers that deal direct damage than the enemy.
Nerves of steel!: Do not break.
How oaths will work for this tournament is that the rulepack (coming soon) will feature 5 printable cards. Before each game choose a card and show it to your opponent. If you complete that oath you gain 3 victory points for completing an oath, obviously you can only complete each oath once. Completing Oaths will grant you 2 tournament points:
Additionally, each player has 2 'sportsmanship points' they must give to a single opponent they thought were exceedingly sportsmanlike. These points are awarded at the end of the day, tallied up, and added to that players tournament points.
An official record sheet/oath cards will be made available soon for everyone to download/fill out/ print off.
Attendance will cost £10 as of now, if over 15 people confirm they are going, this will drop to £8.
Until then, here is a list of everyone confirmed to go, please let me know if you are interested and i'll add you to the list
Check the thread of exactly who is going!
However i reckon there will be more to come in the next few days, any questions?
