Way back I was advised I could not get the BIME Magazine. Unfortunately I did not pursue it and forgot about it.
I don't have any. Everyone knows by now I like to build terrain. I would like some suggestions on which issues might be best for me to look for. I know that this is largely a matter of opinion. I would like to know what your opinion might be.
Thanks

The BIME magazines aren't that difficult to find. There is often the whole pack of them on ebay if you keep a look around. I can't really suggest any particular models in the magazines but have you ever though of making a big model? For example, the black gates, osgiliath etc... It's a great side project, so you can keep going with all your smaller projects and just have a big model to work on slowly in the back. Which is what I've been doing with my model. Of course this would acquire space, but it's a nice thought anyhow.

I just finished the last 15mm WWII building for Guy and I hope to finish Martie's Cryo Meck buildings this week. I will have more space to work on something for my self.I have decided to try to collect some of the BIME mags but don't know which ones to look for. So what are some of your favorites?

I own them all so I'll list some of them and if your interested I'll say which pack number. Meduseld, Edoras gates And walls, modular battlefields like mordor with lava pits, the pellennor fields, harad deserts, weathertop, sharkeys industrial mills, the tower of cirith ungol, elven treetop platforms. Thats just a couple of them hope it helps.

I'll take a look through mine too this afternoon; I've been meaning to give them all another read lately anyway :)

I think the first few issues tend to be a bit basic, but they got more adventurous after a while. The ones I found interesting are as follows:

37 - Amon Sul
38 - Saruman's industry works
39 - Orthanc
49 - Cirith Ungol
51 - Meduseld
60 - Siege Engines (Trebuchet + Catapult; they're very similar to GW's designs)
76 - Corsair Galley
77 - The Black Gate
78 - Mt Doom interior
88 - Dol Amroth fortress
90 - Hobbit Hole (There's another guide in 62) and farms
91 - Industrial Mill (From Scouring of the Shire)

Obviously there are plenty of others, there were a few interesting ones like the desecrated statue at the crossroads and the forbidden pool, but the guides didn't seem to be of a very high standard. Good for a look, but you could probably do better than their results.

Hope that helps!

Out of the ones i have the Dunland hovels are great or the rohan stables. They are in the high 60s I think. I don't have many mind you. I would love to see your takes on them though.
