I stumbled across this just as I was about to resume working on something else. Victrix are an excellent historical games company, better known for their huge range of 28mm Napoleonic and ancient box sets (massive boxes with a LOT of minis - very good value for money and top quality too).
Anyway, their new venture exploits their new CAD expertise, to create World War 2 aircraft such as the Stuka in 1:100 (15mm).
Have a read, folks.

I am so looking forward to getting some of these and others that are in the pipeline!

Nice one Dorthonion, I love Stukas, have you seen the Airfix 1/24th scale kit...? Nice.
Great company Victrix but dare not start collecting another range.

I see these being aimed more at either the wargamers (Flames of War, Command Decision, Battlegroup series etcetera) or at mini-builders with less room to store stuff so 1:100 gives them more variety in the same space as 1:72 for example.
A 1:24 scale Stuka would be nice but then it is not the largest of them...

I had never seen the Victrix models before. Some of the Ancient Greeks look like they could maybe be useful for Middle-earth.

Maybe - they might need a wee bit of converting as they are so obviously classical Greeks but anyone with a bit of skill with the greenstuff should be able to make something of them - and they are very good value - 48 minis for £23 and that is before the 30% discount they are offering until 9th March!

Yeah, they would need a little work. Maybe a head swap and a different shield.

Typhoon and P47 Thunderbolt to follow the Stuka.

More news from Victrix - Stuka and Typhoon nearly ready for sale, P47 Thunderbolt and Sturmovik coming shortly thereafter, with plans for dogfighters like Mustangs, Bf109's, Spitfires in the works, then twin engine aircraft and eventually four-engine aircraft.

The bit that has me intrigued is that they are getting a stand alone game written for these by Mongoose Publishing.
The other line I liked seeing was 'cover the key theatres of Western Europe, Eastern Front, Western Desert and The Pacific', so over the coming years we can expect to see the likes of P40's, Zeroes, Corsairs and Hurricanes.

And the first two are on sale now - the photos of completed aircraft look very sweet!
