It's a set of rules by Ganesha Games (http://www.ganeshagames.net/) that is fast, fun, and simple to learn. But is amazingly adaptable to other genres.

I was introduced to it through a modern warfare supplement called Flying Lead. They took the basic combat and movement system and added guns and vehicles, fleshing it out so you could play any 20th or 21st century skirmish from the Boer War through to Afghanistan and even street violence.

Anybody play this game? I am toying with the idea of doing my own unofficial supplement using the Halo universe and gaming with the Actionclix figures, plus a friend is thinking of adapting them to Victorian Sci-Fi.

I am not playing it yet but I am thining of picking it up soon. I particularly like the idea of personality traits for the minis that affects their combat status.

It's got a few 'roleplaying' elements to it and emphasises the narrative aspect of gaming - the story telling side of things. It's quite an impressive engine and there are versions of it that cover everything from prehistoric times through to modern era and the far flung future.

I'm mightily impressed with it's simplicity and flexibility. On the Ganesha Yahoo groups page, there is a gaming group that is playing a version as an alternative to the War of the Ring.

Yeah, I've considered it, after seeing the Splintered Light minis website, and the ikkle fuzzy animals for it.

I bought it from DrivethruRPG a few months ago since it was only a couple of euros and a friend of mine recommended it. We haven't had time to play it yet (he having a child and me moving) but I'm really waiting for the chance. Simplicity and flexibility were the things it was praised for and I like both traits.

David and his father are good people. I can not give a higher recommendation. I have not read the game but I have built lots of stuff for it for the local shop.

Looks like I'll be getting a Gnome army then. (Just as soon as I've sold some stuff, damn promises to the boss...)
