Quite the supply drop! Looking forward to seeing what you do with them (especilly the Elves, if they're earmarked for Mirkwood conversions) |

Yes, that's what the Elves are for (the only Galadhrim I'll ever field are the old Haldir's Elves metal models; just gorgeous!) but that will be more of a long-term project. |

Well, first actual progress here. These me just doing the metal Gondor Command set, then I figured I'd do a full Warband. From there, it evolved further into a few more stragglers that had been basecoated and then finishing up a few more. At the end of the day, I painted some 40-odd Warriors of Minas Tirith and their ilk. The whole batch was like an army in its' own right, adding 611 points to my total of painted and based Gondorian forces! They consisted of: Cirion Captain of Minas Tirith with shield Denethor 1 Citadel Guard with longbow 6 Osgiliath Veterans with shield 2 Osgiliath Veterans with spear and shield 3 Osgiliath Veterans with bow 10 Warriors of Minas Tirith with shield 13 Warriors of Minas Tirith with spear and shield 4 Warriors of Minas Tirith with bow 3 Warriors of Minas Tirith with banner 1 Warrior of Minas Tirith with warhorn Here's a full batch shot of all of them: And here's a closer shot of just the Warrior of Minas Tirith block: Apologies for the blurry pictures, they're from a cell phone camera and not taken in the best light. |

Always impressive to see all of them together. What about some riders? |

Col stuff. Quantity has a quality of its own, and these look great! Are any of the Veterans converted? If they are, can I trouble you for some close-ups, as I have a few to do myself and more inspiration is always good! |

Argish wrote: Always impressive to see all of them together. What about some riders? Thanks! I've got 7 Knight of Minas Tirith including a banner and Captain already finished in my display cabinet. I have another 2 who need the horses fixing and then Faramir and 4-9 more Knights who need doing. As well as this, I have Elessar mounted and Imrahil with 9 SKoDA to do. My mounted contingent will be quite solid, when all is said and done! Paradigm wrote: Col stuff. Quantity has a quality of its own, and these look great! Are any of the Veterans converted? Most of my Veterans are conversions, as I much prefer variety within my forces. Here are better shots of the Vets: Veterans with bow: Spearmen: Note that I've attached a shield to each of them. Converted archer: Swordsmen 1: Swordsmen 2: Swordsmen 3: The one on the right here is the body of a metal Captain of Minas Tirith with a plastic Wood Elf's head. Not my proudest work, as the scales are quite off. |

Nice conversion work. Gondor is not easy to work through because of the repeated poses and colors. You are doing a great job of mixing it up a bit. |
