As the title suggests there are going to be lots of random bits and bobs posted in here. My main aim is to get figures and terrain painted for the journey books but there are side projects of creating armies for points match play as well. One of the things I love about LOTR is the fact that there is loads of diversity so I can flit around painting whatever I fancy and it still feels like progress toward a army or the figures needed for a scenario.

First up are 9 plastic rangers. The last pic is a bit blurry but my pictures are getting better.

Nice highlighting that holds up to close inspection.

Thought I should put up a couple of actual work in progress shots rather than just fill up with pictures of finished figures.

The first picture are the finished figures waiting on basing. They consist of some Mordor orcs (with banner and Shagrat), gondor knights (with banner and mounted faramir), Gandalf the white foot and mounted and the warg chieftain.

The second picture are the random pile of guys that are currently in stages of assembly, conversion and priming. You might just be able to make out a press mould I am using to make some shields for my fountain court guard. The rest consist of various orcs, Gondor rangers some Rohan bits, some ring wraiths and a few other bits and bobs.
