Hi guys, I wanna add a kinda metallic magical shimmer to my elven heroes.... does this work on the green inner robe? Its a dry brush of mithril silver!!! |

Looks alright. I have used Mithril silver to make metallic colors before, just mixed the color in I want and added more mithril to this to highlight. So what you are doing here is similar as you are trying to keep the base color and only have the highlights shimmer, so it looks fine. |

Yes, it looks alright. Another possibility is to wash it with a metallic colour, I did this ages ago on some of my dwarves. (But I don't know for sure whether I'd still say it looks good... ) |

It gets the metallicyness of it across well, though personaly I'd just add a touch of silver to the base colour, and increase it as you highlight. Finish off with your drybrush. |

I normally use a wash for getting a metallic shimmer. I mix in my metallic colour, plus medium. If you're doing this, make sure the wash is very watered with medium. Then just paint on where applicapable. But your technique looks fine to me It looks good and neat, and doesn't look overdone (as in dry brushing on too much paint). |
