Hi all,
I'll keep the introduction short but my name is James and I've recently got back into the hobby after a few years out and this thread will hopefully motivate me to actually finish some models starting with the Goblin Town set.

Here's the first miniature that I've finished and where better to start than Bilbo!

I've still got to attach the static grass to his base but I figure I'll do the whole of Thorin's Company at the same time. Thanks for looking and for any advice that anyone can give!

Next up will be Gandalf who's still a bit WIP at the moment.

Hey man. Nice! He's not an easy model to paint. So tiny! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

@orc-archer Thanks very much!

@mertaal Tell me about it! The last model I painted before these was a Tau battlesuit so this was like painting a grain a rice by comparison!

@Gandlaf the grey Thanks, it certainly is hard to stay away, I'm just a bit annoyed I didn't stick with it when it was more popular - it feels a bit like it's days are numbered unfortunately.

Well Gandalf took a bit longer than I thought but I finally managed to finish him, it's my first attempt at blending the highlights a bit but Garfy's tutorial from the Tale of Painters blog website (http://taleofpainters.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/tutorial-how-to-paint-gandalf-from.html) was a great help.

Thanks for looking, next up is going to be Kili I think.
