i have recently been fishing around the hobby shop i work at and i found a load of OOP arnor models and afew other little gems which i acquired pretty cheap and i have now ended up turning it into quite a big project. there is going to be a lot of model stripping and painting on the way but its going to be very slow with my uni work along side! anyway here are some pictures of the second hand models and some new ones i bought from GW. http://the-morgul-vale.tumblr.com/ |

Sounds like a good project & that looks like a good amount of models to be getting on with. I wasn't sure if I should add warriors of Arnor to my new Numenorian force....Elendil being the high king of both? Do you think that 2nd age Arnor warriors just looked like Numenorians? Anyway, looking forward to seeing your progress! |

I would think that in the 2nd age there weren't distinctive Northern/Southern armies. They would all have been your basic NĂºmenorĂ©ans. The Gondor/Arnor drift would have occured later, in my opinion. |

i would agree with erunion in answer to your question also. thank you, i am looking forward to getting started just not looking forward to stripping the poorly painted models :/ does anyone else feel GW should have released arnor bowmen? as rangers are cool and all, but i just would have like to have seen some bowmen decked out in the arnor armour! and maybe would have like to have seen afew fiefdom commands as axemen of lossarnach banner and captain would have been awsome! |

Now I want some Arnor warriors myself... I think they are some of the best looking models in the range. Good luck with your fledgling army! |

I've been collecting some Arnor models as well for a while, and I too wish that they had expanded the army a bit. One thing I was a bit disapointed about the warband rules, is they dropped the hobbit archers from the Arnor list. You could ally some in I suppose, but the Shire doesn't have any generic captains so the only choices you have are out of place, theme-wise. I usually just house rule them back in. Congratulations on the collection, it's looking good |
